In North America we often endure harsh weather climate conditions coupled with a hectic social life and at Cougar we design shoes and boots to suit how we live.  Most importantly, we add the fun of fashion and colour to the mix to make Cougar shoes and boots not just footwear you need to wear but shoes and boots you WANT to wear, every day. 

Our shoe and boot designers shop the world for fashion trends and styling. Our boot styles are influenced by television runways, trade shows, sporting and fashion magazines and advertisements, the internet, the North American climate and lifestyle and by talking with our colleagues and customers.

All of our Cougar boots use a full fit last that is generous in the ball of the foot to allow for proper air circulation around the foot which contributes to overall boot warmth.   We partner with local nursery and primary schools to actually fit test all children's styles.   All Cougar boots are cement construction rather than molded bottoms.  What this means is that the sole of the boot is cemented to the upper.  The benefit of this is that a heel counter and a box toe are used for support and fit. 

Our boots are not sloppy fitters.  This is especially important for the Infant's range of boots as often this child is just starting to walk and wearing footwear for the first time and requires good support in the ankle to walk securely and safely.  All Cougar boots are designed with various innovative closure systems for the convenience of "easy on" and "easy off".
