All Derek Alexander leather products are made using only full top grain cowhide. Split leather, bonded leather or man-made leather substitutes are not used anywhere in the purses, handbags, totes, wallets, or any of the other products. Although know for its soft, naturally finished drum dyed cowhide, the company uses several tanning processes and a wide range of styles in one of the largest leather purse, handbag and accessories line in North America.

Slowly rolling the hides in natural vegetable based dyes and other tanning agents provide the rich character of and great touch of our handbags, purses, totes, and wallets and leather accessories.
