Planning for Fall 2012

The buying season is upon us, and we have been making our trips to some of our suppliers to see what will be available for next fall and winter.

So far, we haven't seen many drastic changes from this year. The Sorel type of boot seems to remain a fashion influence in a few of our brands, so if you took the plunge and got them this year, they will still be in fashion next year.

The colours we have been seeing are mainly neutrals, with a splash of white. Don't be afraid of white boots it won't show the salt. Black, brown and grey are the main shades you won't go wrong with any of those!

What has been quite interesting is the fashion take on the traditional winter boot. There are several styles out there that are not warm or waterproof really designed for the fall that have a dressed up sole and heel with that rubber-bottom look. They will look so cute with jeans and a great sweater next fall.

The next couple of weeks are a little more hectic with some of our bigger suppliers, so I will be able to expand on my views for next winter. I just hope that the snow comes a little earlier than it did this year. We live in Canada, and snow is essential to Canadian business.

See you next week!
